Benefits of the Undergraduate Scholarship
The following are the scholarships offered and its value:
- President’s International Distinction Scholarship: Up to $120,000 CAD (payable over 4 years).
- International Leader Scholarship: For Well-rounded leaders with superior academics record. Successful candidate may receive up to $15,000 CAD.
- May Quon Undergraduate Scholarship: For Students with a superior admission average and self-declared financial need entering their first year of an undergraduate degree on a Student Visa Permit who are Chinese or Hong Kong citizens. Successful candidate may receive up to $100,000 (payable over 4 years).
- University of Alberta Global Citizen Scholarship for IB Diploma International Students: For students who are entering their first year of an undergraduate degree program from Aga Khan Academies operating under the AKA agency of the Aga Khan Development Network. Successful candidate may receive up to $53,000 per year for a maximum of 4 years.
Eligibility
At the time of application, applicants must:
- Be an international student in an undergraduate program leading to a degree at the University of Alberta
- Be eligible to register in Fall 2023 term and was registered in the previous winter term (Winter 2023)
- Be currently paying international student differential fees
- Have satisfactory academic standing
- Have a valid study permit
- Have demonstrated financial need
- Students have not previously received the IUSB
How To Apply
Interested students are to apply for an admission at the University of Alberta, Canada. This is followed by filling out the single scholarship application form. Application and selection are done based on the student’s academic background, experiences, and academic interests. Applying student are advised to read carefully and provide answers to all the required questions.
Application Deadline: Differs for each scholarship. However, has a general deadline on January 10, 2024.
