Manchester Metropolitan University, UK offers a range of scholarships to both its domestic and international students for studies at the university. The university offers four different types of scholarships for international students. These are as follows:

• General and Chancellor’s international awards
• Postgraduate scholarships for specific courses
• Research grants
• Sports scholarships

Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the largest universities in UK with over 34,000 students. The University is ranked amongst the world’s top 200 universities and offers about 326 undergraduate programs and 230 postgraduate programs. Manchester Metropolitan University provides undergraduate courses across five faculties: Arts and Humanities; Business and Law; Education; Health, Psychology and Social Care; and Science and Engineering. The University has industry links with global companies, including Nike, Walt Disney, Microsoft, IBM and more. In this ways, the university provides its students with regular employability events including advice workshops, industry networking, guest speakers and careers fairs. 

Level of Study: Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programs.

Course of Study: Scholarships are applicable to all undergraduate degree programs. However, scholarships are provided for international students studying selected postgraduate courses:

• Arts and Humanities
• Education
• Health, Psychology and Social Care
• Science and Engineering

Scholarships’ Value

• Undergraduate scholarship worth the sum of  £2,000 for each year of your degree.
• Postgraduate Scholarship for international students worth the sum of £3,000 in the first year of study.
• The Chancellor’s and Vice-Chancellor’s International Award for international students worth Between £6,000 and £8000, in the first year of study. 

General Eligibility Criteria

• The scholarships are for students who are enrolled to any of degree program in any eligible course offered at the university.
• Must be an high achieving student with great academic records.
• Students studying part-time will be eligible for the Scholarship providing they are paying overseas fees.
• Only courses being taught on the Manchester Campus, are eligible
• International qualifications will be compared with Manchester Metropolitan University’s internal guidelines and all decisions made by the University’s Admissions Department regarding degree classifications are final and cannot be appealed.
• For undergraduate scholarships, the following programs are eligible:
  • 3-year Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree, including an integrated study abroad or placement year (Scholarship is not payable for the year spent on study abroad or placement).
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree, including an integrated foundation year program.
  • 4-year integrated Master’s degree.

How To Apply

There is no separate application required for the scholarships. The scholarships is considered for applicants who have applied and accepted  onto a full-time taught graduate or masters degree course starting in January 2024.
